Serbian society for roads VIA VITA is a professional association existed since 1934 and brings together professional and scientific experts in road and traffic engineering.
The goal of Journal of Road and Traffic Engineering is to broaden the knowledge of road and traffic engineering by promoting free and open access researches, papers and ideas. Journal of Road and Traffic Engineering is a quarterly publication and all articles are peer-reviewed.

Focus and Scope
This scientific journal publishes scientific papers in the area of technical sciences, field of road and traffic engineering. The received papers are subject to peer review in accordance with the recommendations for international scientific journals. The papers published in the journal are placed in sections which explain their focus in more detail. The sections are: transportation economy, intelligent transport systems, traffic and environment (ecology), design of roads, airport runways and road infrastructure, maintenance of roads, designing bridges, tunnels and construction structures, ecology, spatial planning, traffic safety, road management, geotechnics, road pavements, building materials, traffic infrastructure, traffic policy, transport law.
Peer Review Process
Every submission is reviewed by two to three reviewers. The review process is double blind. The review criterion is the scientific and formal appropriateness to the journal mission. Based on the relevant factors of the paper evaluation, reviewers submit one of four possible propositions are : paper is acceptable for publication; paper requires minor changes, paper requires major changes and paper is not acceptable for publication. Reviewers are prominent scientists and experts with an established scientific record which guarantees their competency in reviewing scientific papers.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal archiving policy
The journal is included in the National library of Serbia. New issue is published every three months.
The journal conduct plagiarism screening of every submitted article. Articles which are considered to be plagiarised or contain plagiarised text will be automatically rejected.
