Analysis of pedestrian movement speed at signalized intersections
Abstract
The time required to cross the pedestrian crossing is in the basic function, i.e. depending on the length of the pedestrian crossing and the walking speed of the pedestrian. Based on this, an analysis and synthesis of the speed of movement of children and the elderly when crossing the road at two signalized pedestrian crossings in Doboj was carried out. We get speed of pedestrian movement using scientific observation and measurement methods. The results are presented in tables and diagrams. Based on the obtained data, it was determined that pedestrian movement speeds decrease with the increase in the length of the pedestrian crossing.
