ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF WEATHER CONDITIONS ON TRAFFIC FLOW PARAMETERS ON THE "9. JANUAR" MOTORWAY
Abstract
Traffic flow parameters are subject to the influence of many factors. The analysis of these factors on certain parts of individual road categories helps to understand the structure and characteristics of traffic flow on different road categories. Among other things, weather conditions are those that can significantly affect the flow and speed of vehicles. This paper analyzes the impact of weather conditions on certain parameters of traffic flow on the motorway. The research was conducted on the "9. januar" motorway, which connects the E-661 Gradiška-Banja Luka motorway and the section of the Johovac-Rudanka motorway on the Pan-European Corridor 5c through Republika Srpska. The aim of the paper was to show whether and how weather conditions affect the flow and speed of vehicles on the motorway.
