The impact of climate change on road and transport infrastructure
Abstract
Climate change is a global problem that significantly affects road and transport infrastructure. Extreme weather conditions negatively affect the quality and lifecycle of roads, bridges and other infrastructure facilities. Infrastructure vulnerability will increase with the continuation of climate change, which requires urgent action. Climate change causes frequent damage and the need for frequent repairs of road and transport infrastructure, which increases costs and threatens the efficiency and safety of transport. Adaptation to climate change requires designing climate-resilient road and transport infrastructure and applying new materials and technologies in the construction and maintenance of road and transport infrastructure.
